    Default Heads up to the OR rescue crew ....

    Saw this on GW: { http://www.shopgoodwill.com/viewItem...temID=11399502 }

    It's a 7 drawer treadle cabinet with a Singer 127 from 1923 in it. No iron, no legs. I'd love to get my hands on it but it's a bit too far for a road trip.

    My sister lives in Hillsboro as of today... I really want one with the legs and treadle though. This one may be a good hand crank conversion though?

    I went into the Hillsboro location where they keep the ones on auction - I couldn't see it though - they did have two older, very dirty ones in cabinets - too much for me to take on - no place left in my house to put one that the hubby won't find ... I am keeping my eye on a 301 on that website - 5 more days left - haven't looked today, will need to go do that - to see how far up the bidding has gone. Never bid on anything before so this could be a new experience for me ...

    Checked on that 301 -- it's at $40.99 -- what would be a good price to get it for -- how high should I be willing to bid? Have no clue what they sell for.

    The 301 went for $85.99 (I think) - my highest bid was $60
