I was able to bend it back and get it working, but it does have some visible stress fractures. And one or more of the bearings in the part is now binding a bit. We're going to have to replace the part after all. It' s another instance of an ebay machine arriving damaged:<

Well, at least you tried. Since you'll have to replace it anyway, could you take two sets of pliers, locate the bind and tweak it a bit? I've done that a time or two. Sometimes with success.

I tried that without success, but the seller is going to pay for the cost of the new part so I'm not going to spend any more time trying to mess with it. Especially since it does have some stress fractures now. This part has two bearings, so I think that it's very tricky to get back to "true" after being bent and without any kind of breakage or binding.

I would be curious to see if the stress fractures were actually just cracked plating and not structural...
