Good price for upstate NY. Maybe consider getting it and fixing it up yourself as a starter FW. There are good books and lots of internet resources, esp here on the Board. If you decide you want a different one you can sell it at a profit while looking for another. Good Luck!

The bobbin case and the bobbin showing in your picture are not for a featherweight and will not fit. A featherweight bobbin and bobbin case are much thinner. Bobbins are often available at sewing machine stores but bobbin cases can be a little pricey $50 and up if you have to replace it. Enjoy your new featherweight.

Marta, can you ask the seller to try to find the bobbin case? Maybe they had another machine in the house, and maybe they have a Sewing Box. If the machine was indeed used in the household there, then they likely have it in a Sewing Box and just don't know it.
This happened to me with a machine. Often the family selling it just does not know the difference, what is meant to go in the sewing machine and what is just sewing machine junk. Maybe worth a try...?
