Default Help for friend w/Sears Kenmore sewing machine

Trying to help a friend locate a foot control to replace her broken one. Sears Kenmore machine, model 158.1792181 s/n 0001593. I believe the foot control part # is 57544 (Sears website indicates the part is no longer available). Anyone have one they would be able to part with? Thank's.

    liking quilting,

My favorite go-to place Sew-Classic { http://www.shop.sew-classic.com/ } has both resistance and electronic foot controllers for quite reasonable prices.
I don't know where you'd find a Kenmore, or what ever brand they used, foot controller other than your LSMG.

I hope to be able to talk to her again in the next day or two (but she's got a new grand baby come in Wisc. that's due any day, so she may be out of the area for a while!) I'll let you know after I talk with her.

Sew Classic has kenmore foot pedals and cord sets. You can also get just a foot pedal and wire it to the existing plug if the wires are good:

This site has even more Kenmore foot controls to choose from:
