My Hubby recently came home with an older singer for me! Yes. No manual was with it I went to the dinger site to download one and ran into a bit of a problem. The serial # on the machine is Ag732090 the site says this was made in 1946 and is a model # 15 OK thats all good. When I went to download the manual for it, a manual for a treddle machine keepscomming up this is not a treddle machine.
What am I doning wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe it was a treadle and was converted.

There is really no difference in the machine except the power source. If it was converted, there is the belt from the motor instead of the belt from the treadle.

There is no belt on this machine so I don't think it was converted

You may have the 15-91 - the motor on that version doesn't have a belt.

I have the manual for the 15-91 (non-belted motor) - just pm me with your email address if you'd like me to send it to you.

I also have a 15-91 with the potted motor, and an original manual. I have scanned it and would be glad to send it to you also. Mine has an AH serial number from 1947. I also have the parts manual.

http://www.singerco.com/pdf/SINGER_AG_nos.pdf According to this it is Model 15 one of 25000 and made in 1946, 7 years old than a similar one I have :D

You can download a free copy here: http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html although it is for a treadle machine it won't really matter as it is the threading and working part of the machine which is important, is it not :P
