    That is the one thing I am sure of giggle. it is stamped made in the USA

    I just went back and read through this whole conversation. Since it's a National machine, yes it was made in the US. Since you said it's a twin to the national built Coronado, then yes it's likely an early 1950s model. National folded in 1954.
