I acquired a Dressmaker RS-98, which appears identical to a Riccar RS98. The Hook driving gear was broken so I ordered a Riccar part and it's identical to the broken one. Aside from being broken ...
Very accessible and simple, I swapped it out, danced the teeth around and it's THIS much too early to pick off the loop.
I can see a couple of possibilities to loosen the shaft and adjust the timing, either the bottom pulley at the other end of the machine or there's some kind of connection/mechanism midway of the shaft that drives the hook.
I thought I'd ask if anyone knows for sure before I start unscrewing things.
Thanks.

Not that it matters, but it's actually "this much" too late to get the loop.
