Cool Hot Auction Results

It was hot and we had to wait til almost the end. But we picked up a 1928 model 66 treadle with 6 ornate drawer table. It needs some tender loving care as the needle won't go all the way down. But it will be fun to fix up. Our other treadle is a 1929 model 127. What is the difference between model 127 and model 66?

Cheryl, There are several differences between the two machines. The major difference is the 127 is a "long bobbin" or vibrating shuttle machine, where as the 66 has a round bobbin. They're both full size machines, and both fun to use!

Earlier today in the main Vintage thread, I posted some links to old sewing machine books that available free on Google...browse through those, especially the second one, and it will tell you exactly what all the differences are!

Congrats!! (How much did you have to give for it? Nosey me!!)

Carl misread serial no. Both machines are model 66. If we get the red eye converted back to treadle it may go in one of cabinets. Knew something was wrong when you said 127 had vibrating shuttle as both ours have drop in bobbins.

Ah! As time went on, more features were added to the 66's. Both of yours should have about the same mechanical features, since they're only a year apart in age. You got a GREAT price!!
