I'm kinda curious to see this..... I know I'd be trying something 'different' if the cabinet was unsalvageable.

Joe, you were right. There were no screws. I just pulled the knobs off with pliars and they were just wedged into holes on the drawers. Now I have to order new knobs because the holes in the drawers are larger than the backs on the knobs. I'll just have to get some with faceplates.
