Default How to get Bobbin winder to engage?

I just made my singer 99 a hand crank again and now the bobbin winder won't engage because it won't come into contact with the replacement spoked hand wheel. Did they make any original spoked hand wheels for the singer 99 or anything I can use? I'd rather not use something to bulk up the wheel so it touches. Any help is much appreciated! Thank you!!

It may be kind of fiddly to wind the bobbin but you need to remove the top screw that is used for adjustment. https://dragonpoodle.blogspot.com/20...and-crank.html Keep it in a safe place with the machine. If I'm understanding it correctly you may have to hold the arm to make sure the bobbin winder tire is riding on the hand wheel.
