How are you doing BonnieI? I don't think the manual linked to is spot on the model, but the bobbin, race and hook assembly looks the same. Yours looks like it has a cast aluminum body, and these are usually stable and solid machines compared to the later plastic versions. It's easy to generalise too much, since all the good models have a solid cast aluminium chassis under all the plastic.
That said, I would double check for correct type bobbin. My vintage Berninas stitich reasonable well with a Singer 66 class bobbin in the bobbin case, but they run noisy and not as nicely as you would expect from these machines. Have you had the throat plate and hook-race assebly appart. I would clean, check and recheck to make sure the parts in the reassebly go back together correctly.

Hi I took off the covers and oiled everything. It's working much better. It was clean inside but really dry. I had no idea that you oiled machines that often. I thought it was once or twice a year. I really appreciate all of your help.
