I resized more pictures hoping this will help identify my machine. I did scrubbed on it more and found that the first word is New and the second word starts with a "G". This is on the backside of the head. But, the gold has worn off and the visibility of the words are very faint. The light must be just right to even see the word "new". Thank you for what you can do.

I wonder if you were to take photos from really creative angles, if you might be able to see more in the photos. Sometimes I find a photo shows more detail than we would see just looking. Usually when you don't want to show things off, but you never know.
Take the photos from very acute angles, from below, from above, etc.
Sort of like when you take a photo of an aquarium with a flash. Straight on gets you a big old sunburst. An angle of 30 degrees or so goes through the glass and lights up the fish...

this looks a lot like yours http://siouxfalls.craigslist.org/atq/4025781158.html I love the look of this machine, but I really don't think I could squeeze another treadle into the house after picking up the Two Spool.

so - do any of you think $100 would be an OK price on that machine - I spent so much time looking it over to see if it was the same that I've sort of fallen in love with it. DH likes it too . . . Here I thought I'd get on this board to keep an eye on DH -but now I'm sucked in too!!!

On the one website - it has this AKA as New Goodrich FS. Ismacs site has this for the only "New Gi. . . " machines - but I know they are very similar to this one also. Sorry it's so small, but I have issues on this site with my work computer. It reads that National is the maker, New Gillespie is the name and the AKA is Eldredge FS. The other numbers are the needles it takes National New Gillespie 20x1 E Z 14 J BB C 56 15 J;K E 53 Eldredge F.S.
