Well, I'm going to go against the tide. If you truly don't have a place for it, then sell it.

It is really cool to look at, though. That motor looks almost big enough to power a lawn mower...

Where did u find the manual please...

they may have manuals for other antiques, too.

There was also another website that had downloadable manuals - I will look through my browser history and find that one in a second.
It's called "Relics" and they are selling the manuals. I think the Smithsonian archive has them (and more) for free.

We use to have a big Western Electric Plant locally and I never knew besides Telephones what they made. This is so cool!

I would clean it up and keep it....but I would use it. Certainly is a very attractive piece. If space is an issue though, perhaps you could find it a loving home. The problem with that is down the track a bit, you may regret it.

That is a beautiful sewing machine even if only used for a decoration.

I think that before you sell it you should do some research on that specific machine and I'll bet you will find yourself becoming more and more fond of it. But beware....once you catch the "vintage sewing machine virus" you will find yourself desiring more vintage machines...don't ask me how I know  :-D and then you will be thinking about adding a room to your house to house your new addiction.

I would by far keep this baby. I have an old Singer sewing machine my mil gave me years ago and "almost" got rid of it, so glad that I didn't. She did give me a "flour bin kitchen cabinet", if you know what I'm talking about there, and I sold it, such a big mistake I made there. I would not get rid of this.

Is that cabinet called a Hoosier? I saw one at an antique show, once, and LOVED it!!!!!
