I may have new addition to my little family...
I was bad and looked on CL in charlotte area and found this..
http://charlotte.craigslist.org/atq/4823159286.html
sn is G9435641. Made 1922. She said it runs fine... LOL. Figured I was sort of safe since she is 5 hrs away.. But then a bright idea hit me... Send my parents... Lol. So they are on the way to look at her and buy if she runs and looks good. And my Dad will try and get the price down
I need another machine like I need a hole in my head....

What I can see of the decals looks better than most. I doubt the case is original. I would have expected a bentwood. That case looks more like 1940s vintage. On the plus side you have the correct bobbin winder for an electric machine.

Very nice machine! thought it was funny that the machine in the listing is a 127, but the one in the paper clipping is a 128.
This is what the one in the clipping looks like in full color.
So if someone had a La Vincedora decal that was only "gold" that would be rare. The one they are selling is actually very common, but in very nice shape.

Sounds nice! Now - DO NOT USE WATER, you'll silver the decals. For who knows why, this decal pattern seems to be rather delicate compared to most of the Singers. One reason it's hard to find one that looks really nice.

BTW - I've bought several machines around the Atlanta area - my son lives to the east, and when we go visit I load up. Next time we'll have the van, so I can fit even more!
I've made my son pick up a few for me, however DH and I have found some in the thrift shops around the area.

We rarely ever have vintage machines on our craigs list, although over a year ago I did get my 1951 201 and I love it. When I went to look at it, I wasn't very impressed but took down the #'s and came home and looked it up and discovered how great the 201 is, called them back and got it for 40.00. It didn't need a thing, but we oiled it up and hubby checked it out. I use it all the time for piecing. I just need to find a better 1/4" foot, I don't like the one with the extra guide on it.
