Most estate sales drop their prices by 50 to 75% on the last day. I would wait and see. You may be able to get it for $25.

It's really dirty and I think they overpriced this machine. It's been used a great deal. The bottom line is if you really want one of these machines and you think it can work for you, then buy it.

These machines rarely fetch much more than $180, and those are clean, nice looking, stitch samples are done, complete with accessories and often a nice cabinet. Less than that is very fast half the price, fixer-up machines are usually not much over $50. Actually, $30 for a machine that cleans up easily is a steal, you sort of expect to spend quite a bit of time and money spent on dirty old finds. Cleaning and lubricating the potted motor is a challenge in itself, not to mention rewiring. The potted motor is few and far between here, I plan to jump for the next 201K2 that turns up :- ) I haven't seen a 15K91 here yet.

Most sell for this amount, with or with out cabinet or accessories. Less than that you have to keep an eye out and have patience. In the odd case they are free, saved from the garbage heap in the nick of time. Once fixed up, it will serve you for life as well as one of your grand children, and with very little upkeep. I bought my 201 in cabinet for about $75, it needed quite a bit of cleaning, oiling and a few replacement parts. I have never regretted the time and money I spent on it, it's turned out to be my favorite machine.
This is the same for my area....I found mine going out in the trash (people moving)...it worked well right from the get-go and is in good, used condition.
