I have a hugh pole barn with a 2 bedroom apartment attached. I can hide a ton of machines. Right now I only have 11 (I think). One is "on the table" waiting for new wiring. My little FW, Trouble, went to WI with my daughter. The rest work.

They are all over the place. Front room, computer room, bed room, basement, garage. The only two rooms that don't have a machine is the kitchen and the bathroom. At least so far.

You could have worse problems than being a "sewaholic"........

I don't have antique machines. My DH doesn't know it yet but I am being gifted a Singer treadle soon. He has a fit that I have 2 machines. Lucky you. I love all the pretty antique machines.

My coworkers have threatened to hold an "intervention" for me - what ever that is . . . But it's a good diversion tactic - if someone asks me if I own any firearms - I tell them I own over 20 sewing machines - and that does the trick LOL!!

I too have been told I am inflicted with an illness because I have a "collection" of sewing machines. To each his own. At least our machines can do something, the "collection" of Teddy Bears, or Troll Dolls just look back at you. Of course, the "collection" of tractors my husband has can also "do" something, they just take more room to store. And they will not go in the dining room!! I'm not talking toy tractors either.

I too quit counting at around 40 machines but admit I have more than that now. Mine is a hobby and not an addiction.

Oh my, I have 6, three newer and two treadles and a 201 and two surgers and would have more but I would have to hang them from the ceiling, and they are full of the cardstock airplanes DH has made over the years. If I outlive him, I will have room and more I am sure.

I have 18 or 19. Love, Love these machines. Have about 8 treadles. My DH is as addicted as I am, so he is no help in controlling our herd. HaHa
