Me too. And they seem to take up the most room, dang it.
I’ve been working on the Boss Lady (my wife) to let me throw the dog’s recliner out onto the curb (the wife got another one, and we gave her old one to the dog). He (the dog) spends more time in our recliners than his anyway, so he really doesn’t need one, and I could get two more treadles set up in place of that recliner.
My ace-in-the-hole is that one of the treadles that I want to get set up is her industrial Singer 96-40 that we have fitted as a darning machine (hopping foot and no feed dogs). We ran it for a little while a few years ago with a small motor on it, but then we got the Singer 301A in her cabinet for FMQ and she’s been using that. I have located the part that I need to make the treadle stand operable, and since playing with the Singer 27K2 treadle that we got a while back, she thinks she may be ready to try treadle FMQ.
But, the dog’s recliner is still in the sewing room, and he’s been laying in it all day. I think he may have heard me talking about throwing it out.....

CD,
Its fun doing FMQ with a treadle. Only my Singer 237 and 115 like to do that. The Singers 201 and 66-1 don't wanna.
The 2 little dogs are laying on the couch, Mr. poodle mix is laying on the arm and Ms. Westie is laying below him. Its been raining since yesterday afternoon, the pack of 4 dogs aren't happy with all the wet stuff.

I'm just wondering how an IL born, AZ raised, Confederate sympathizing person like me would feel in the South.

I bought a treadle like that in Philly for $10. I believe it was a Red Eye. Makes for a nice catch all table. Cant see spending 20 hours labor to make it presentable. Some stuff isn't worth fixing and I should have left it in Philly for the next guy/gal who might have treasured it.
