Default I'm taking up a fun collection for J Miller -

I asked J Miller how he was doing. Here is his reply:
"I'm not doing too good. I can't walk very much due to pain and weakness in the back muscles. I've been using a wheel chair to get into and out of the clinic. I've done 10 days of IV anti-biotics and I've got 20 to go. I've got an appointment with a new family MD this coming Monday. Hopefully he'll be able to help figure out what wrong in my system. They diagnosed a systemic e-coli infection. They found an abscess in the muscles of my lower back near the tube from the kidney to the bladder. It was also near the spine. A needle biopsy and tests showed the e-coli."

Joe, I can just picture little Elaine pushing Big Kat around in a wheel chair.

Joe does still read QB but he hasn't much energy to post much. He's still here. I was thinking it would be nice to take up a collection. He says he has 20 more days of IV... so lets take up a collection of fun things for Joe to read. I'm planning to post something fun here for the next 20 days.
please do not make comments - they go here: Well wishes for Joe Miller go here

    QUOTES
    Beginner pilot rules:
    1. The propeller is just a big fan made to cool down the pilot in the cockpit. When it stops, you can see the pilot start sweating excessively.
    2. You don't have to take off, but landing is mandatory.
    3. Pushing forward on the flight stick makes the earth look bigger, pulling makes it look smaller. If you pull too much or too long however, it will look bigger yet again.
    4. Flying is safe as long as you don't crash.
    5. It's better to wish you were flying than to wish you were on the ground.
    6. A good landing is a landing in which everyone walks away.
    7. Besides affecting apples, gravity also affects planes.

Joe I take free college courses online from Coursera. This is from their website-

"Coursera is an education company that partners with the top universities and organizations in the world to offer courses online for anyone to take, for free. Our technology enables our partners to teach millions of students rather than hundreds."

    https://www.coursera.org/

I am currently taking a class called "The Camera Never Lies". There are many classes starting soon. It may help pass the time. Hope this is helpful to you, take care.

Hi, Joe! If you feel like a simple jaunt after being out for a dr. appt., the IL State Museum in Springfield has a wonderful display of civil war quilts, available until Sept. 8. It's free and you can get around in a wheelchair. I saw this in May and want to go one more time before it closes. Here's a link, scroll down to see the description.

Caroline that picture made me laugh. Keep them coming every day Joe must have 18 or 19 more days of infusions.
Lets see if this works. I started looking for some of the best of Quilt Board stuff - I got about 60 pages worth of looking so far:
    http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...h-t210452.html

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...g-t152963.html

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...s-t223313.html

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...h-t225996.html

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...e-t195281.html

Quite possibly we need a best of Quilt Board with a sticky somewhere if somebody has time to track down all the treasures.

Joe I hope you are able to laugh with out hurting and read stuff here to keep your mind off things for a few minutes a day anyway. Wishing you the best. Maybe you can send Elaine out for a few more machines you can work on when you are well. If she can't find any in Illinois, she can run by Indy and I'll send a couple derelicts home.
