Default Industrial comes home tonight ( and why it was delayed)

Yay, going to go pick up my industrial machine tonight afer work, I would have got it last night, but I ended up going to get this (for my Daughters birthday)

She now has a very fuzzy friend. i refer to him as a "Peruvian Jumping Rat" though most people call him a Chinchilla.

I should have more pictures of the Industrial ( tenatively a 103 ) and the combined electric treadle table it is on, later this evevning.

In the wild they eat grass. live up in the Andes mountains. We have a similar (much smaller critter here called a Pika ) in captivity they eat a prepared dry pellet food. They love Timothy hay, carrots raisins and veggies, but their little systems were not designed for that rich food and they get kinda sick. Hay and raisins as an occasional treat ( or training aid) and just dry kibble the rest of the time.

Beautiful little animal! Thanks for sharing the picture. I hope we get to see the machine soon, too.

Don't they love sand 'baths' too? A friend had one and they put sand in a largish jar tilted on its side and hers would get in there and just go to town. So cute and sooo cuddly soft.

So cute. I had a chinchilla years ago. Their fur is soo soft. Much nicer animals than real rats.
