I would have purchased it for the cabinet and chair. What a score. I think it is one of the most "butt ugly" sewing machine designs but it does have a retro charm about it. Cool that is came with all of those goodies, especially the manual.

What a deal! I just don't get why people try to paint fabric. Saw an episode on HGTV long time back and one of the designers insisted on painting a sofa. It was brand new and custom made. The homeowner was absolutely infuriated to say the least. The producers had to reorder another custom made sofa to the exact specifications of the homeowner.

Nice find. I have a son who lives in Germany and he began collecting before I did. He has a treadle Pfaff, a Gritzner and a Juki. He uses them all. As a teen ager he did some sewing, and when did he learn, he was always into something as a baby and small child, so I couldn't sew, because I had to watch him so close. So I would sit him on my lap and sew. He never did get his fingers hurt either.

That is absolutely pristine for an old sewing machine. I love it. Does the hand-wheel run backwards like older Kenmores that I have used--on the Domestic pattern, if I remember correctly. For awhile, I remember that Kenmores were just like the Domestics, in sound and the running-backwards handwheel. Hard for someone to get used to, if they have only used Singers in the past.
