Talking Installing old machine in newer cabinet

Saw a newer cabinet on CL for $35 and I'd like to buy it and install my 1965 Singer in it. From the pictures, cabinet is made for a machine with a bottom which looks like a bottle laid on it's side. My machine is rectangular shape. I have a handy husband so we'll go look at it and he can assess the job. Cabinet folds out both ways (to 60") and I'd like that. Wish me luck !

Measure your machine and take photos of it. that will help.

It has to be able to close. Some times they just won't work.
