Default Just saw a listing for a 401/301/FW Cardtable...

These things are gold. I have one. With the cradle it will fit a 301. It's for a 400 series singer... at least, that's what it looks like to me.

This looks like a handyman built table. It doesn't look like the genuine Featherweight table I have. In fact, it almost looks like the top was made from plywood.

Bonnie, you are right about it not being for a FW, but it is a Singer card table for a different machine.

I think there are a couple of ones for the 301. Here is the link for what they call the 314 card table - https://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mac...umber-314.html which they say is for a 301 long bed. The dimensions they give for the cut out is 19 1/4" x 7". They don't indicate another one, but mine is 16 1/2" x 7" and shaped insert looks the same. I was able to almost get a 401 in mine which doesn't have the notch on the end and just rectangular. It didn't fit quite flush but I was able to sew with it.

Here is the link for the 301 card table for the 400-500 series and says for short bed 301 https://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mac...0-500-301.html. Note a cut out for the plug on this one.

The featherweight insert goes all the way to the edge as seen for table 308 at https://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mac...308_table.html

I see FW tables listed on Craigslist in Portland fairly often....usually with a very high price request

here are 2 listed now (usually they are listed with pictures, but this time only 1 has a picture):

    for singer slant machine: https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...748933085.html

    https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...745585454.html

they had another very nice looking one listed here for months but it has been taken down

Tables are hard to find in my area. Sorry I missed on the identify/which card table. I was thinking that the 401 table with the cutout would take a FWT, but no. It will take a 301 shortbed, if you have the cradle (which is very cool). It might take a 500 series too I think. Interesting that Portland area has them fairly often. Thank you all.

A guild member had several of the FW tables her mother and aunts had. She brought them to our guild yard sale and no one bought them. I think she donated them to another fundraiser. I had no place to put it and honestly I thought it was rather ugly. I know I know but I wouldn't have enjoyed it.
