Default long bobbin shuttle sizes - how much variation is there?

    Hi All

one of our treadles is a New Williams (Williams manufacturing company, Montreal) that I bought at auction over 20 yrs ago purely for show. I would eventually like to get it going again, but it is missing the the shuttle (some call it a bullet) My other long bobbin machines are all singers and the singer shuttle doesn't fit the NW.

For those of you who own a variety of long bobbin machines, could anyone tell me how much variation in size there is between one manufacturer and another? I was lucky enought to find a copy of the manual for this machine and the shuttle "looks" the same but I think it has to be longer, maybe a bit slimmer as well????

or point me in the direction of a resource that may have information on shuttle variations...there isn't much info on the New Williams out there so I don't know if it even resembles another brand...but I did find a pic of an old Domestic treadle that looked similar.

    Thanks all
    Joann

Actually Joann, I think I have one. It's a Boye 13...I have two of them, and they don't fit any of my machines.
