I have a Chinese hand crank on my model 115; it works fine. However, I have a complex set of rules limiting what I buy, and I try to only break one rule at a time. This would be breaking the "no long bobbins" rule, so I don't want to break the "no unoriginal handcranks" rule on the same machine. Makes perfect sense, no?

I found an old Singer advertisement from the '30s where Singer boasted of selling individual motors for an additional $15() to the purchase price if you desired. I wonder if that is around the time your motor was installed.
