    I 'am starting to like the look of these machines I see a few here and there, might just pick one up next time. Very nice DottieBug

    Where have we all heard that before - "look what followed me home, Mommy." Wonderful - that could follow me home any time. I just recently bought the new Singer Heritage (electronic) that professes the styling to look like a vintage machine - - and while it is very nice looking, it's shiny plastic doesn't come close to these good old beautiful originals. Great find!

    Not dumb, good to ask questions! I am sure there are others here who can answer this more accurately than I but Singer used the -number for several reasons....newer iterations of the same model for instance a 66-1 is older than the 66-18 and for example a 15-88 vs a 15-91 was the difference between treadle drive and belt drive.....oh I better shut up now, I am sure I am not relaying things accurately! The rest of these great folks on this forum will inform much better than I can
