In my younger and more mobile days I got lots of marvelous things by dumpster diving including a truckload of unused children's books, and another of high end little girls' dresses with their price tags. One dumpster caused my mother to wonder if they had thrown out the children as well. Mom's neighbor was moving out of state and threw out everything their kids owned except what fit in one suitcase: bikes, clothes etc, all in excellent condition. Good Will was glad to get them.
