Default Looking for bobbins for Bernina 1120

When I purchased this machine in December it only came with 1 bobbin.

Can anyone tell me the part number and where I can purchase them? I sincerely appreciate your help.

    Thanks,

    Lynda

Lynda, you might try the place suggested in your original thread about this machine in post http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...ml#post7410080 by tessagin and http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...ml#post7411435 by GrammieJan. From the looks of the bobbin case - I would think that it would be a class 15 bobbin. Have you tried comparing the bobbin that came with it with the ones for your Janome? Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

Make sure the bobbin that it came with was the correct one. I would think a regular Bernina dealer would have them, I remember buying some off eBay.

As I said in a previous post, JAF sells authentic Bernina bobbins. I have a Bernina 1020 and a 1530.

If you go into the store, you will see little diamond patterns engraved on the inside curve. These are the bobbins I have used for over 15 years. Wait until notions go on sale or use a coupon when notions are not on sale. Enjoy your Bernina. It is the BEST DSM I ever bought. LOVE IT!

Thank you. Would love to buy from Joanns but I'm in Canada (yes I know they will ship here, but with our dreadful dollar and the possibility of paying duty/taxes at the border, it's not usually worth it). Will check Amazon.ca and Ebay.ca. Closest Bernina dealer is not close by and generally not very helpful.

Check with some of the larger parts sellers on the internet. There must be some in Canada, somewhere. Ebay would be a starting place to look for me. Second hand would be the best price. If you place an ad in a Canadian publication, like a quilting magazine for instance, you may find some. My knowledge of Canadian suppliers is woefully lacking.

Brewer (who is owned by Bernina) makes a "Bernina compatible" bobbin, and that's all I order for the store. The part number is 0115367T. They retail for about $1.25 each.
The Bernina bobbins have a slightly tighter center hole than the Singer 15 class bobbins. They have the gnurling on the shaft, and the top and bottom are smoother. I wouldn't mind shipping you some. I'll send you a private email.
