(Note: I appreciate the offers but we have had donations cover the costs, thanks. As I've said before, you have his address earlier in the thread, send him/them something nice. His MAIL service is getting shut down at the end of this month, so hop to it!)

hey folks... i just thought some of you might appreciate seeing inside the other side....

    From Kevin:
"Yours truly giving Tommy Taliban an interview

The Afghan Police arrested this guy and 7 of his buddies in some station wagons with AK-47's, PKM machine guns, and RPG's. A couple were even dressed as women for subversive purposes.

Note the lack of interpreter... I've been working on my Pashtu and am able to get name, fathers name, province district & village, and age all on my own to fill out the DNA swabs.

Not pictured: my "guardian angel" with an M4 loaded & round chambered, keeping watch over me."

Nahh, I'm just a guy helping a friend and student while he is doing a rough part of his job. I remember vividly the loneliness, boredom, and insanity that is the honor of military service.

Just an update: Kevin is doing fine. He really appreciates the machine.

He sent me this article that was in USA Today about his specific unit and what they are dealing with so I thought I would share a view in to the world these kids are in every day.
