Looking for needles for my 9W-7
OK, here we go. I just finished getting the 9w-7 I got from my SIL last week cleaned, lubed and ready to test sew. I have a few needles but if it works I'll need more.
So, Is there anyone here who has some: 127x1, Boye 18, (I can substitute MY 1014 needles) in sizes 14, 16, or 18, sharp point they'd sell?

I am frustrated and getting peeved. I've been told the MY 1014 needles are a common needle. Not so says all my Google and other searches. One source have I found and all they had was ball points. Those are useless to me.
Does anyone here have a source, a real genuine source for the MY 1014 needles in the normal sharp point 14, 16, 18 sizes? If not then this nice old 9W-7 might just end up as a door stop.

Have you contacted the Schmetz Company. I was told that needles for my 306W were no longer available at my machine repair... low and behold Schmetz does make the needle for that machine.. It took some conversation with them .. but I now have their needle number so I can order .

Have you checked eBay, Joe? That is where I bought mine when I got the machine. I also bought some from a OSMG. If you don't find any I can give you his number and you can call him. He does ship stuff. The needles were just pricier than what I was buying on eBay. He is in Illinois. I think all he had were 18s.

Robinson. Place is called Robinson Sew and Vac. His name is Carl.
Sorry. I had forgotten how they were sized. 18 is the Boye number you need and you are right that I don't see any on eBay right now.

Lyn,
If you need bobbins for the 9W-7 and it uses the flat sided bobbins, 221/301 bobbins work perfectly.
If you need the donut shaped ones, I'll keep my eyes open.
And yes when I find some needles I'll post where.
