Lostin51... 201K treadle
#1
This machine is for sale near me. It's super cheap too! I've been looking for an older treadle that has the classic look, but I think this is a good machine from what I can find. Any advice? Thanks!

Veronica, I'm not sure what type of Singer it is other than newer vintage one. It sort of looks like my 191 made in Japan. I am sure Billy will be very interested.
If it is really cheap...I would get it. Looks like the cabinet may need to be refinished.
I would ask for the serial number from the seller so you can identify and date the machine using the Singer web site.

He said the cabinet is sound with no cracks, warps or anything else. It just needs to be revarnished. He also said that the best he can tell, it works. The needle goes up and down when the treadle is pushed. I'm so excited! This is more than what I was even looking for!
Thanks Billy and everyone. I appreciate your help.

I am! I looked on craigslist last night way after my bedtime. I saw this and almost jumped through the monitor. I haven't went to see it because he is an hour away and he will be out of town the next two days but he agreed to hold it for me until Saturday. He said it was his wife's and that it had been stored for many years.
