Argh. Give it some Liquid wrench and then heat? How frustrating!

And a good "Tap" on the top of the screw driver helps too.

-sometimes- a drill bit alone is enough to pull the screw out. I know when I broke the kickstand bolt on my dirtbike, it came out without using the easy out, just the drill bit, but I can't recall if I went in from behind on that one.
Nothing worse than having to do this under pressure.

Well I held her down and DH drilled it then used the easy out. It's out - off to find a donor.

Yay!! The worst is over! Do you have the parts chart for the 301? Could look up the number and see what it changes up with. Good job DH!

yippie - got it!!! I cleaned up the tension and the bobbin tension. When I opened up the balance wheel end of it there was pieces of dried grass or something chucked in there. WEIRD. I should have taken pictures. She sews very nicely now. I sure hope that lady takes it....

301s almost always go. If they're looking for that model in particular, usually they pounce and don't let go. It's one of maybe 3 models that I don't have people change their minds when they get here. I tell them to come check the machines out and leave with the one they bond with. The 301 never gets left behind if it's what they came for.

Well, lets hope she shows up. Right now it is between the 301 and a 201 for her.
