    Thanks Jon,

I saved it to my thumb drive too. Now I have to read it and learn how to use my machine .....

Glad you all can use the manual. I don't see much of a problem fixing up the head to working order but Skip's expertise might be needed on the cosmetic end. Well worth the effort.

Here are the parts I found for now. I need to do some digging, but I may haver the bobbin winding assembly, too. I got a whole bunch of stuff cheap when I got the wheel that doesn't the the Minnesota B. (Because it's for a Minnesota A)

    deplaylady,

Not sure what the handwheel is off of, my Davis' have either 3 or 5 spokes. My old style Minnesota A is 3 spoke but yours could be a style wheel only made a few years which I don't have an example of .

Shuttle and needles are fine for Jeanette's A.

I was just going by the picture in the link (it has more than 3 spokes)

And that I bought it off eBay from someone saying it was a bunch of Minnesota A parts. You never know with eBay, I guess.

I'd believe it if it came with a bunch of other Davis Minnesota A parts. Singer did the same thing with their hand wheels over time. They just don't interchange.

Just came across a White Minnesota A. Might be the same hand wheel. Sort of illustrates how easy the wrong part can be ordered and no one is really at fault.

Keep in mind - Sears used the name Minnesota A for machines produced by more than one Vendor. So it could easily be a wheel to fit a Minnesota A - just not one made by Davis.

It 's in a treadle base made by Sears - but not a Davis. Cool decals. I'll have to check and see if the wheel is like my white rotary.
