Minnesota A treadle pedal design: cabinet vs frame question
I have a Minnesota A (Model A9) in a parlor cabinet that looks like it dates to 1910 as seen in Sears Roebuck catalog.
The bolt system connecting my cabinet's foot pedal to its Pitman bar is a shouldered bolt with a bearing ring and fasteners that is tapped into the pedal's hole. A set screw lines up with a groove along the length of that shouldered bolt so it can get tightened down for smooth treadling. The pictures show the pedal arm with set screw as well as the lineup of fasteners around each end of the Pitman rod.
Is this same bolt system used on the Minnesota A's that are on frames with desks?
Hoping someone with a desked Minnesota A can have a look and share. Understanding will help me in my search. TIA!
