yep, the Porkert is the modern version.
It went from the 46k1 to the 91k5 to the various imports (Porkert Kansai, etc) as far as I can tell. It is functionally the same machine.

Nice machine and the perfect person to own it. Will you put this in a cabinet of some sort and do you already have one for it? The video really demonstrates how fiddly that glove sewing is. Lots of stops and starts and maneuvering to get the leather on correctly. I will certainly have much more respect when I buy that kind of glove again in the future. Wonder how long it takes to do a pair? There were a huge amount of gloves waiting to be sewn!
edit: Can you imagine doing that all day, every day?!?! It appears that it might have taken approx. 4+ minutes to do the one glove. I imagine the mittens go quicker.
