...or you could take the money this would cost and buy a very nice FW or some other nice light weight machine.

Nice idea but I don't care too much for the lightweights and I would still have to move around my ever growing collection of heavy vintage machines.

Thank you Mighty. I think I might ask hubby when he gets back home if he can maybe rig something up like it.

Check out Harbor Freight and check the quality. Also check other hardware stores/sites. This one seems pretty pricey unless you're moving a lot of heavy things.

Elevator hand trucks are not sold at Harbor Freight. They are a very specialized item and are very expensive.
The first one I showed was the cheapy. Here is another link so peeps will better understand the elevator hand trucks and the costs plus it has to be able to easily slide into a truck on its back.

I think the first one I found is actually the best for getting sewing machines about if you have a truck, SUV or something that the unit can slide into for travel. Here is a link for some of the better quality ones.

Be VERY careful with this kind of lift truck! When you raise the platform, the center of gravity changes. All the weight moves up, & your dolly becomes top heavy and very unstable. The one you pictured looks like you have to turn it around either b4 or after you lift your machine. I think I would spin it b4 lifting the weight. Make sure it has a safe place to land if it tips a little too far. Just sayin.....

I just looked again, & noticed the cable crank for lifting. If your machines are very heavy, the cranking motion could cause your dolly to rock from side to side a little....make sure you are on a fairly level, even surface. Maybe practice a little first??

Really don't mean to scare you off, just thot you should be aware...
