Wow what a beauty that machine is!!! Looks like someone lovingly cared for it as it looks pristine and the cabinet as well is incredible.

Both my parents have been gone almost 40 years and I will always miss them. Sometimes I wish they could come back for just a short visit to answer questions or just to reassure me that things will be all right when things get difficult. You're lucky to have daughters that cherish their ancestry and the heritage they bring to your family.
I do the same thing Marge. If we only knew then what we know now… I think like that often, about wishing I had taken more time to sit with my dear ones and listen to their stories.
Yes, I share the same sentiment. If only I could go back in time to when my grandmother's were alive...and sit and listen. And I truly wish I'd had an interest in learning to cook on a wood stove when my paternal grandmother passed on...she cooked on one her entire life, and when she died, they couldn't find anyone to give/sell it to...it ended up in the dump...so sad...BUT I do have her 1908 Singer....and love it!!

RkayD, Love your avatar! Caught my eye as was leaving the topic, had to click back button. I just found a black and white dot fabric in my den I forgot I had! I think I will use as a sashing, just need to make the blocks:)
