I really have the f/w bug! But if I buy one more machine, I'm sure my hubby will have a cow!! I already have 4. None are the f/w tho. I keep watching them on ebay but can't bring myself to bid on one site-unseen.

If you keep looking around I found someone who had cases that fit the featherweights and the price was certainly reasonable. I of course bookmark the website, but it was a shop that did a lot of vintage sewing machine repairs.

Wonderful...so happy for you! Be sure to look up her birthdate on Singer's web site. (DO NOT use any old thread, oil or lubricant on her.) I do suggest you either take her to a FW technician or take the time to learn how to take care of her yourself. There is a treasure trove of info out there. You will enjoy being her "buddy" for a very long time :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
