My First Treadle Machine!
I finally bought a Singer 66 redeye. The lady I bought it from was wonderful. I told her I was looking for the cabinet for it and she gave me one for free. I only spent 35.00 on the machine. It is in working order and is awesome. Thank you for everyone who gave me advise!

Oh man, I am pea green with envy - I would LOVE to find a red head with the decals in that good a condition! Some Meguire's and a jug of Evaporust and you're going to have a Sparkle Plenty jewel to sew with! How wonderful!

thank you thepolyparrot for letting me know how to clean it. That was going to be my next question! To bad you didn't live closer to me there is another one in just as good condition for sale with cabinet for $50.

There are some really nice cleaning tutorials on here to help you.
I use TR3 Resin Glaze or Meguire's Cleaner Wax on cotton balls for getting the grunge off of the decals and I soak all the plated metal parts (including feet/attachments) overnight in Evaporust then polish the metal with Flitz or whatever I have handy for that. Then I put a coat or two of Meguire's Wax (the one with no cleaner in it) over the whole surface to keep it clean.
Have fun with it - I know it's going to have a place of honor.

That is a great find and wonderful cabinet. I think it is missing the drawers on the left side but who's complaining for free and in such good condition. You can find them if you want to replace them. The 66 should clean up wonderfully.
Did you get some feet or other attachements with it? I cannot tell if it is a back or side clamp for the feet.
Congratulations.

Great find!! So, you should watch MUV's videos on cleaning these machines. She does a great job, and the products she uses are gentle but clean well. The decals are rather delicate, and can turn silver (losing all color!) if you're not careful and use the wrong stuff.
Would like to see pics when you are done. Overall it looks to be in great condition.

Hi it has back clamp. It didn't come with anything. I ordered the parts from a guy who came highly recommended from someone on the board. Hopfully the parts come soon. It did come with a belt so I know it works great. I will post pics when I clean it up. thank you.
