Default My second find of the weekend a Pfaff 130...

So this poor machine was just sitting in the corner at an estate sale looking all sad, so I said why not! This is my 1st Pfaff so I will need to study up! I know she is going to require some re-wiring and cleaning. Just wondering if anyone has any tid-bits that they found while working with the Pfaff machines. Thank you!

    Dear Gretchen,

Very nice! I have not seen a Pfaff in real life, however, if you find my thread about Phoenix 429, it is a Pfaff knock off. The only thing that springs to mind is to be very mindful of the fabric belt inside. If you get cleaning chemicals, oil, water, red wine, or coffee on that belt, you are pretty much hooped.

    Good luck with it!

Very nice machine! Get a real belt for it. It is a very strong machine and that rubber belt is not its friend. When you are cleaning and oiling it take the rear access plate off and get a flashlight. There is a small bearing off to the right as you are looking inside from behind. If you don't use a flashlight you will not see it. It will need oiling. There is also a white Delrin gear behind the access plate. I was shocked to see it in such a heavy machine but it is there. I have never heard of one failing so don't fret about it.

    I have a Pfaff 60 and I love her.
I'll try to post a picture of "Grandma Grace" later.
