my SECOND rocketeer!! =))

The needle position lever is NOT frozen -- I finally realized I needed to push it in first!

it got left in the car!! =) I do have it though!
oddly enough, the wheel feels ' loose' when you turn it. it definitely grabs the needle . . . but . . ..
have you ever driven a straight that had lots of play in the gearshift? it feels like that, but it works!

The hand wheel gear has a spring set up that cushions the fiber gear as the machine speed surges. I have three machines set up like that and they all have that loose feeling. But get them clean and properly lubed and they sew like a dream.
