Default My Weed has arrived!! (NO!! Not that kind!)

The 4 boxes just arrived at my work.

I cannot take the time today to unpack and repack here at work, so I will not post the rest of the pics until tonight.

However, I thought you might like to see another example of how PROPER packing can save the day.

NO SEWING MACHINES OR TREADLES were harmed in the making of this thread...

The inner cardboard layer that the irons are attached to is also a bit impacted, but the foam behind that absorbed the blow and the irons are intact.

The soft foam inside took the blow, and because the footpedals and such were secured TO the foam, they did not get thrown about and broken, which clearly they would have. A second box here might have been better, but the inside was well packed and the contents are good to go.

A huge thank you to Miriam for making this happen safely. I know how difficult it is.

OH Boy, I'll bet the Feds spy network just perked up it's ears with the title of this thread ... .

I'm looking forward to seeing what you got in all those boxes.

It is a delightful machine. I am so relieved it made it ok. Wow they sure did beat up the boxes. A couple of the boxes were a little close in size for my comfort. I'm hoping everything unpacks ok. That was over 100 lbs for that little old machine.

I have a UPS shipment that went AWOL yesterday and UPS thinks they delivered it. I was here the whole time. No truck and no delivery. I called the 800 number and was told it was delivered. I checked on line - they said it was delivered. I WENT TO THEIR STORE and they checked on line and called.... (they said it was delivered. LIARS.) Other than check, the store said they can't do anything about it. They said the sender has to look into it. I bet if they do check into it they get told it was delivered. LIARS. I think as long as I live I won't ship anything UPS.

My Weed was a gift from a special friend and was found in the Albany, NY area.
Aren't the irons beautiful!

That wheel hanging on those legs was HEAVY - that thing is solid
We packed it by itself for that reason.
There should be enough foam to insulate a small shed.
