Default A nagging question; what is an OSMG?

I've been reading this forum for several months now, and one term keeps popping up that I cannot decipher.

Who, or what, is an OSMG?

From most of the comments I've read it seems to mean either "Old Sewing Machine Guy" or "Old Sewing Machine Guru".

    Is this correct?

Yep. And often the "old" refers to the guy as well as the sewing machine. At least that's been my experience. We boomers seem to have an appreciation for vintage.

I'll play the feminist here - what about the "osmGALS"
