Default Need help with Wheeler & Wilson D9 coffin top treadle

When I treadle, the balance wheel wobbles over and hits the wooden drawers on the right side. It makes a lot of racket and doesn't treadle smoothly. I am not mechanically inclined, but it looks like some things are loose down there. Could someone post a photo of the band wheel assembly if they have this machine? Maybe that will help me figure out what is wrong with mine. Thank you.

I am a bit confused. Most of us call the wheel that receives power from the belt, the balance wheel or hand wheel.
"down there" and hitting drawers sounds like you may be talking about the big wheel that is connected directly to the treadle and powers the hand wheel. A pic would be nice. If you are talking about the big wheel underneath, there are at least two ways they are connected to the Irons ( frame). My W and W came as only a head. Sorry.

What brand of cabinet/base do you have your W &W in?
