Default Need Information on Morse(made in Japan) Model #12550A ec.

Can anyone tell me where to look for information on a machine just GIVEN to me? Found the Model No. 1550A ec on the underside. No manual with it and needs some tender loving cleaning. Everything seems to be moving freely and the wiring looks good. Looks like a place for cams on the top but no cams. Want to know if cams from other machines would be able to be used. No extras other than what looks like a tooth brush, no feet, only one or two bobbins and am not sure they are for this machine. Want to clean it and find out a little more about it before I try it out.
I have been following this vintage thread for a a year or so and now have a little experience in cleaning and working with the older machines. Sounds like the Japanese machines are work horses. This looks a lot like my singer model 501A. Am wondering if things would be interchangeable.
Hope someone can give me some information about this machine or tell me where to look. Have been searching on the internet and can find lots of information about buying machines. Thank you in advance!!

It's hard to answer your questions without a model # and or photo. No, your 501 items won't work. 501's are slant needle machines and use slant feet. Most Morse feet will be low shank feet. Not interchangeble for feet or cams. Actually, I don't know of any Morse machines that use cams, so a picture would be very helpful.

Thanks, Candace. Will try to post pictures this coming week after I have cleaned it up a bit and looked over a little. The model no. that I posted should be 1550A ec. Have to watch the Superbowl today. But will work on more information and pictures. Thanks again!!!
