Need mounting hinges for my Kenmore
#11
I just went through this with my BelAir. I found there are at least 9, 533 different configurations for cabinet hinges. Post height, number of holes, width, total length... I wish you the very best. And so many sellers don't include the specifics in their listings.

Let me ask you this then. If I bump into a different cabinet for my Kenmore with the hinges already in it, will they fit my machine? Are the posts the go into the machine standard at least?

All the Singer hinges I've measured have been 1 1/8". I wouldn't be too surprised if Sears specified a different size. Sears loved having proprietary items. I remember things like sanding belts and other replacement items being just a little off sized from what other manufacturers used. I stopped buying Craftsman tools because of it.

I have an older Kenmore in a plastic carrying case. given to me touse at charity. The hinge with pins have to set back out of the way . They almost fit and when I got it one was inserted but it was hard to get out of machine since the other didn't quite line up. I know the lady bought case from thrift store just so she could donate it to me in a case and it will carry OK.
So I can see that these hinges become a dilemma . I tried my other Kenmore in it and doesn't fit either so I push the hinges up out of the way and sat machine in the case. At least machine worked.
My problem is machine is high shank and I don't have a walking foot to fit it. I have 4 of them too.
