New baby

I have been looking for one reasonable for about 4 years. My husband did not even fuss because he knew i wanted one for quite sometime. I sewed some scraps together tonight and she is a joy to use.

I have a mocha 301 in a similar cabinet that I also paid $50 for. The drawer is the same but the legs are a round turned design. I did not get a stool, but I got a 3-drawer sewing cabinet. The little cabinet does not match the cabinet the 301 is in but it matches the cabinet my Mom's 401 is in. THAT cabinet originally held my Grandmother's 66-6 (which I have) and was purchased in 1928, the year my Mom was born. You will like the 301, I have 3 of them now.

I am already loving this little baby. Why do friends and family always ask "how many do you have now?" I do have too many. It really does not matter and it would take fingers and a few toes to count them up. I am In love with this 301. Was just meant to be. I am glad some of you understand my love for sewing machines.

I love my 301's for some reason too. I also have more than enough machines. But, there are so many GREAT machines out there that there is always a new category that becomes a "want" and I start searching. I totally understand and support your love of sewing machines. You got a great deal on your new machine. Congratulations!

That is a great machine. I got one 6 months ago that is exactly like yours but in a different cabinet and it has quickly become my favourite machine. I love that I can just pick it up and take it out of the cabinet for quilting class. I understand your love of sewing machine. I have 6 old machines and I only started to quilt 2 years ago! Enjoy sewing on it.
