My granddaughters do sew -- and they both have done some machine quilting. They are 13.5 and 12. The 12 yr old has her own value priced small Brother machine, and she sews a lot. But the older one doesn't have the desire to sew as much - so she has never wanted a machine. I suspect that Cindy the Singer will eventually be hers.
