I agree with Macy. Plus, it looks like the machine and cabinet were very well cared for. I love Love LOVE LOVE that cabinet and would have paid more than $20 just for it. AND you got the matching stool! I'd say your day was a success.

I think that stool goes with a different cabinet, but the fabulous score still stands.

I would have to agree. I should have looked closer at the other machine in the room. It was much more modern but some of the feet for this one is missing. I assume they might have been in the other cabinet. I was in too much of a hurry for this one.

$45 301? That is an amazing deal. I would have been running with that as well.

Yes, I really wasn't complaining lol. Just had to give yo a hard time. It is absolutely pristine....don't think it was used more than a dozen times if that. We just got home....6 hour trip for $45 sewing machine and my husband thinks I'm crazy...or I should say he thinks he's crazy for driving me! It was a beautiful day and we do like to road trip and discover the local craft beers.
i will post pictures tomorrow. Don't even have to clean it although I will want to oil and grease of course.

I think that's all I'm going to have to do to this one as well, besides airing. This was one was well used though. I hope it turns out to be a joy.

I'm naming her Trudy after her former owner. She owned a bridal shop, which explains all the seed pearls in one of the drawers.

Great find! I don't have one yet but I do love the way they look. Very nice desk too.

I (we) have one 401 and two 500s. I consider the money and work we've put into each one as time and money well spent.
My wife wanted to flip the second 500 but I won't let her. These three machines will do anything I want except quilting huge quilts.
