Hi Colleen, Singer has a website to check serial numbers, it tells you where and when your machine was built. Usually the serial numbers are located on the front, just under the hand wheel. On the FWs sometimes they are on the bottom at the back. I've never seen a model like yours. Your last picture showing the underside of the machine where the bobbin and shuttle and race are have a number there, did you check them? I can't tell from the pic, is it electric? I assume it is electric since it is the portable version with a carry case and all. Check the bottom of the machine thoroughly. She is a BEAUTY !!! Usually the serial number has a letter or two with it. That indicates where it was made. She sure is pretty, and looks like new too !!!

I had gotten one just like that at a thrift store - and it was a reproduction. I was so sad. I did end up selling it at a yardsale.
I decided not to keep it because I really wanted the real thing and not the repro.
The 15U sounds like what I had.
