New treadle
Here is a picture of a treadle my daughter bought from a friend of hers, She was going to let me know the serial # and name when she picks it up.I am hoping it is for me, but don't know cause when I asked her if she was going to use it, she just laughed.

Thanks, Jon, any idea where we can get these needles? I have purchased lots of them but none for a Davis. I will tell my daughter what you said about the machine. I sure hope she is going to give it to me. I really like it.

The Boye 10 needles should be a hair under 2" as incorrect needles can get mixed in the wood tube. The MTx190 are round shank industrials so the scarf to the right, long groove to the left must be done manually since there's no flat. I use the MTx190's myself.
Here's a similar owners manual for the Davis underfeed. This model is a little later than your daughters and uses a standard 15x1 needle but is otherwise very close.

I just had to say WHOO HOOO- DD is giving it to me for my Birthday, How neat is that? I will definitely be ordering some of the needles from one of these sites. And thanks Jon for the manual which I saved to my pictures album so that I can get it printed.
